This recipe is just for the 1 plate, but we obviously cook a pack of portabella's (yes, that is a portabella mushroom cap in the photo, not a filet ;-) ) together, with a whole bag of beans and a bag of wild rice. left overssss!
Marinate the portabella caps in 1-2 tbsp. of balsamic vinegar and 1 tbsp. minced garlic.
get the water boiling for the wild rice and put that in as per directions. (depending on amount).
put the marinated mushrooms in the oven (preheated to 350) for 15 min. flipping half way.
coat the green beans in a tsp of olive oil (that's it!) to help with the "blackened" part of it. sear them in a frying pan for about 7-10 minutes, sprinkling some garlic powder on as you go. When they are at your desired firmness, throw a tbsp. of balsamic vinegar on and toss around and turn off heat.
by the time the rice is done, you have it all done! fancy lookin plate for less than $3. (ours came out to $2.85 - give or take the measurements and going to seconds ;-) )
